New Year, New Country, New Home, New Dolls, New Website..!!!

Life is a constant change and it is not always easy to move from country to country and to adapt.
The past 6 months have been real intense for my family and I due to our move from England to Italy and then back to America.
Finally, we are all settled, happy and comfortable in our new home and I am back at work.
I am blessed because I am able to work and to express my creativity through doll making makes me feel just like time has frozen - I like to believe that no one really ever grows old while creating or playing with dolls because dolls help us to remember who we once were..

SO... New country, new home, new year, new dolls and new WEBSITE!
Yes, I would love to add a little BIG THANK YOU to my dear and lovely Nat!
Natalie has redesigned and revamped again my website.
I am truly happy because I believe that the new colors, layout, graphics and templates reflect my personality and my work.
As I am so used to move, I welcome changes and challenges and I am always open to new possibilities.. so this is "Amazing Treasures Doll" new look for 2015.
Thank you sweet Natalie for your dedication and for being so caring and patient.

If you wish to see Natalie's portfolio please feel free to visit her website:

W.I.P. W.O.D.

Good morning!

Air Dry Clay offers a whole wide world of sculpting possibilities for sure.

I LOVE the texture and the way the clay feels.

It is just like a new world is opening up in front of me and I cannot get enough of it.

This is a preview of the two OOAK Art Dolls I am currently working on.

I will be posting more pictures later on. (And the saga of my Wicked Oddities Dolls happily continues.. ;)

Love, Love, Love Air Dry Clay!!!!

I have been sculpting more lately - which is exactly what I wanted to do in a very long time and I am glad I am finally finding some time to experiment more with clay and textures and practicing (and hopefully improving) my sculpting skills..

For me it has always been a "natural" thing to hold a brush and I must admit I felt slightly uncoordinated while handling sculpting tools at first.

BUT.. it is true when they say that determination pays off as I am loving to sculpt and to create OOAK Art Dolls more and more.

I am also grateful to so many OOAK Sculpting Artists for providing inspiration and advice and to my friends for their loving support and encouragement (you are the best, you know it!!)So there she is...

Please meet "Lumina"!

I have hand sculpted her with air dry clay, she wears an esemble that I have created by using fabrics, laces and silk ribbons and she is over 12 inches tall. She stands on her own pedestal / stand where her crown is safely contained..

More to come - stay tuned and have a great day!

Broomhilda (The Dark Bride) W.O.D.

Broomhilda has been completed, I have hand sculpted her with air dry clay and she is a self standing OOAK, about 17 inches tall.

Broomhilda has Tibetan Lamb hair, I have hand painted her with oils and crylics and she comes with her own stand and pumpkins. She comes all dressed in her Gothic Bride attire.

I have loved to sculpt her and to create her character.

I am enjoying sculpting more nowadays and to create different sizes OOAKS with a twist.

I hope you enjoy her!

A few more pictures of my "Lavinia"

Surely, I am completely in love with Lavinia.. I enjoy her striking features and gracious appearance.

I had fun taking a few more pictures of her inside the studio today.

Gladly, I can tell you all that I have received some very exciting and positive feedbacks and comments about her from other fellow artists and collectors.

Needless to say, I am humbly flattered.

She is a "different" doll from the other ones I have created in the past because of her size, style and features.

She is not a baby or a toddler for sure.. but to repaint and to create OOAKS is truly fascinating and so much can be done with them also.

If you love to accessorize then Lavinia is also the right doll for you.. she is wonderful to redress and to pose.

I am truly excited about posting pictures of my upcoming work in the near future.

Have a glorious day everyone!

One the fun parts of being a creative soul for me is to be able to reinvent things and objects by giving them their own identity and by bringing them to "life".

Lavinia was definitely a fun project for me.
She has been stripped, her acrylic hair removed, I have completely repainted her, her body blushed, etc. etc..

She is 20 inches tall, inset blue eyes, jointed legs, head and arms and she is completely made of high quality hard vinyl by Goetz.

Her skirt and corset have been made by me and a second outfit would be also provided with her.
(The ones of you that know me well already know that I have a natural repulsion for treads and needles, so this was a "first" for me...)

More pictures will be posted later.. for right now I wanted to show you the "before" and "after" pictures of Lavinia.
Keep happy and thank you for visiting my blog today.

Here are the pictures of Lavinia before...:

During her transformation....

And finally after the repainting process has been completed:

Wilhelmina ~ The Portrait of Gothic Victorian Romance

....just like a bewildering dream that slowly materializes itself, the vision of a Gothic Victorian Romantic Child has been transformed into a new Reborn Art Doll for the discerning collector.

Please, meet Wilhelmina.

She is 32 inches tall, with 3/4" length arms and legs, hand crafted glass eyes, micro-rooted human hair and a stuffed, standing body.

It has taken me what it seems like forever to root such large head with lots of human hair ~

As always, I welcome your comments and feedbacks!

Thank you for reading my blog today..
